FARM FAMILY SUMMER CLUB

02 Jun 2021

Farm living is he life for me!

Farming teaches children:

  • how to care for animals and grow crops
  • to understand the life cycle of living things –animals and plants
  • where their food comes from and to have a greater appreciation for food
  • life-skills like growing food, working hard, communicating through teamwork, respecting the natural environment
  • how weather affects farming and appreciate the impact of different weather conditions on farming

Family Farm Summer Club will include many exciting activities that will make your kids feel like real farmers! Here are some of the activities which will take place in each session…

Our animals deserve the best!

Your children will have a fun learning experience while meeting and feeding our animals. They will learn about the different characteristics of animals, how to care for them and become more aware of their different needs.

A little dirt never hurts!

The children will have a first-hand experience of planting and growing different crops on our farm. They will learn about the growth cycle of plants and how to take care of them. They will also observe the growth of their crops week after week.

Getting Crafty

Your children will undertake a different creative activity each week, which will turn natural resources, such as twigs and leaves found on the farm, into master pieces, to take home.

make way for play!

“Play is the highest form of research.”  (Albert Einstein)

In every session the children will be given the opportunity to enjoy unstructured free play. This gives the children freedom to explore, create and discover without predetermined rules and guidelines.
